Dainis Eglitis was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1953 and grew up in Huntsville, Alabama. In 1971, He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served with the 2nd Reconnaisance Battalion. After serving for four years, he was honerably discharged in 1975. During the summer of 1975, he worked in construction in Anchorage, Alaska. He returned from Alaska to California and made construction his career. Dainis met Gail and were married in 1979 and raised two children. They remain happily married after 46 years. In 2021 he retired, after spending decades in construction. Dainis had no interest in politics until witessing the Biden Administration destroying America and the American way of life. From his frustration was born the book “I Do Solemnly swear.”
